Bells Scotch Whisky

Description

Bells is a brand of blended Scotch whisky. Originally produced by Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd and, now owned by Diageo. It is the best selling whisky in the UK.

Blair Athol is the main component of the blend.  Dufftown and Inchgower still figure, but Glenkinchie and Caol Ila are also components.  The Pittyvaich distillery was used in the blend between 1974 and 1993.  Bell’s is bottled at Diageo’s Shieldhall, Glasgow plant.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Quite soft and gentle. Malted barley and hints of cut herbs and fresh floral notes. Cereal and grist with a little honey.

Palate: Quite smooth, medium body. Barley and cereals with nut oils, hints of wood and spice.

Finish: Short with notes of fruitcake and smoke.
