Macallan 15 Fine Oak

Description

The Macallan Fine Oak 15 Years Old forms part of the Fine Oak range and is matured for a minimum of fifteen years in three exceptional oak cask types. The uniquely complex combination of sherry seasoned European oak casks, sherry seasoned American oak and ex-bourbon American oak casks delivers a rich flavor profile with notes of chocolate, dried fruits and cinnamon.

Tasting Notes

Color: Straw yellow.

Nose: Sublime and full with a hint of rose and cinnamon.

Palate: Intensely rich with chocolate and a hint of orange and raisin. Quite full and round with plenty of bourbon notes. The winter spices and vanilla crème abound with a chewy oak underlying.

Finish: Unlike the start on palate, the finish is dry and more bitter, lingering with a hint of chocolate, orange, and dried fruits and a little spice, a breath of oak-iness.
