Description

Johnnie Walker Blue Label Striding Man is a limited edition release of Blue Label.  The legendary flagship whisky of the Johnnie Walker house. This 19th century style whisky has a smooth taste, it gives an explosion of flavour on the palate. Such as hazelnut, rose petals, sherry, oranges notes. This artfully blended whisky has won more gold medals for excellence than any other super premium whisky.

When Alexander Walker took over his father’s small blending business in 1857, foundations were laid for an enterprise that would. And under his own son Alexander, make Johnnie Walker the world’s favourite Scotch whisky. Besides, copyrighting his label ‘Old Highland Scotch Whisky’ in 1867, the famous square bottle soon followed and by 1906. Then the younger Alexander had created a distinct blend that was 12 years old and deemed ‘Extra Special’. Three years later, it evolved into the Johnnie Walker Black Label we know today. While the younger Alexander had a flair for innovation, co-owner George Walker was a skilled marketer. It was Walker who masterminded the famous ‘Striding Man’ logo over 100 years ago.

This one is a unique collectible. We expect this release was 10’000 bottles, which would equate to 2500 sets of 4 bottles. This had been on sale in Harrods of London in 2018, and it can be found on various collectible whisky retail sites and typically commands about €400 for a set (click here to check)
