Johnnie Walker Blue Label Chicago Edition – Private Collection – Not For Sale

Johnnie Walker, specifically on the Blue Label Product range, that really have cracked it when it comes to limited edition and collectable bottles.  While some people might groan there are simply too many of them, there is an accepted rule: if you can get these bottles at retail prices, then as a collector, you can’t lose money.  They always increase in value – some more than others, that will always be true. And while you’re the custodian of them, they make amazing display pieces.

JW Blue Label limited editions are always a popular seller on the whisky auction sites in the UK and the EU.  In the Asian market, only bottlings always make good returns on these sites. Other collectors are often chasing the bottles that are more difficult to get in their home markets.

Unfortunately, this whisky isn’t for sale. In fact, it was a gift from Tim to the Oak and Barley collection. And he is a long term friend and supporter of Oak and Barley. So here, we have featured this whisky to let you all know that this is a really special bottle, you should look out for on your travels as a whisky collector.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fragrant with good body. Notes of oak, crisp spice, dried fruit, pastries. Besides, berry fruits, aniseed, hints of cedar, a touch of spice and citrus.

Palate: Supple and balanced. Good toffee and hints of very wistful smoke. Moreover, chocolate, hints of grass and a good hit of malt.

Finish: Floral, oaky, good length. Urged on by a plume of very well-kept, highland style smoke. Dried fruit, spice, honey.
