Description
Bowmore 10 Devil’s Casks is a marriage of rich Oloroso sherry butts and red wine barriques. Beyond that, the spiced chocolate depth of the Devil’s Casks series gives inspiration to this surprising whisky. And with a tangy fruit twist in the tale.
In fact, the first Islay malt, almost as old as the town from which it takes its name. Bowmore’s celebrated single malt has been distilled on the magical island of Islay. Off the west coast of Scotland, ever since 1779.
This makes Bowmore the first of Islay’s eight distilleries by chronology for sure. Today, it’s widely acknowledged to be among the finest and most perfectly balanced whiskies in the world.
Tasting Notes
Color: Deep crimson-gold.
Nose: Aromas of damson plum and nectarine-laced date oil. With sandalwood and winter spice.
Palate: Discover the taste of black cherry and dark chocolate. Besides, with baked blood orange progressing to smoked chill jam.
Finish: Long lasting finish of blackcurrant and baked mango. And mixed with cinnamon and smoked sea-salt.
