Description
BELLS SCOTCH WHISKY – 2 bottle bundle
Bells is a brand of blended Scotch whisky. Originally produced by Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd and, now owned by Diageo. It is the best selling whisky in the UK.
Blair Athol is the main component of the blend. Dufftown and Inchgower still figure, but Glenkinchie and Caol Ila are also components. The Pittyvaich distillery was used in the blend between 1974 and 1993. Bell’s is bottled at Diageo’s Shieldhall, Glasgow plant.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Quite soft and gentle. Malted barley and hints of cut herbs and fresh floral notes. Cereal and grist with a little honey.
Palate: Quite smooth, medium body. Barley and cereals with nut oils, hints of wood and spice.
Finish: Short with notes of fruitcake and smoke.

As an American, I’d never heard of Bell’s before. I almost didn’t buy this because it was TOO cheap. But a friend assured me that it’s standard house pour whiskey I the UK. Nothing amazing about it, but as I usually mix my whiskey anyway, this is a good deal. And it really is exactly that. Good mixing whiskey at an amazing price. Don’t let that put you off!
